Tybee’s Closest B&B to the Beach!
The DeSoto Beach Bed & Breakfast on Tybee Island is the closest B&B to the beach! It is adjacent to the Award Winning DeSoto Beach Hotel and only steps from Tybee Island’s beautiful shores.
Our B&B has one king suite and two queen rooms: the Tybee “Honeymoon” Suite, the Butler Room, and the Atlantic Room. They are all filled with selected furniture authentic to the period of construction. There are several common areas available to you. The common Parlor Room is on the second level and has a game-table, a sitting area, and a large dining table. The fireplace maintains the cozy atmosphere while you dine or enjoy our wine & cheese hour.
The front porch is known as “The Sleeping Porch” and will most certainly measure up. Here you will find a very large, comfortable hammock to lounge on while overlooking Butler Avenue. There is also a large dining table on this porch so you may dine in a peaceful outdoor environment.

What Our Guests Are Saying
My husband and I needed a getaway, and decided to do something new. We have stayed at the DeSoto Hotel next door, and when looking at their website, discovered their B&B next door. WE decided to give it a try, as we have never done a b&b before.View More Testimonials
At this VERY moment, writing this review, I am sitting on our cozy king bed in the lovely Tybee Suite. I have the sliding glass door curtains and sliding PLANTATION SHUTTERS?!? (wow! totally cool! never seen those before!) open and am watching the waves crash on the beach!
This morning I woke up and smelled breakfast cooking, but strangely enough, I never HEARD a thing! It is SO quiet. I dozed back off, but the smell of bacon and sausage would not be denied, so I finally worked up the courage to venture downstairs. (keep in mind, I have never been to a b&b before, and I am VERY shy). I poked my head around the corner, and was greeted with a friendly smile by Donna. I apologized for having borrowed two glasses from the cupboard the night before, as I had not yet discovered the glasses in our room. She told me not to worry and then explained how the b& works. I then fixed a plate of the most delicious sausage and pancakes. There was a lovely bowl of fruit, yougurt, cold cereal, bagels, and she even offered to make french toast and eggs! She was just too sweet and made me feel so comfortable and welcome....
I really just could not recommend this place any more highly. Yes, there are a few little wear and tear spots, as you would find in ANY beachfront property, but the comfort and beauty and frendliness far outweigh any tiny cosmetic imperfections.
I highly recommend you give this one a try!
